Join Save Austin Now Founders and 100+ fellow supporters this Saturday from 1:00pm-5:00pm for a meet & greet. Max attendance: 415.

With the successful passage of the public camping ban on May 1, Save Austin Now is pivoting to gather support to make Austin a safer place to live.

In the first half of 2021, Austin's murder rate is already up 200%+. Crimes such as burglary and muggings are up over 50% and other categories like sexual assault and rape are showing similar increases. The current number of public safety officers is sitting at the same levels as seen over two decades ago in 1999. In 2011, the average 9-1-1 response time was under 6 minutes, but today the average is more than 13 minutes and many times it’s much longer. This is unacceptable.

With your help, we would like to rally supporters to deliver a victory for Austin's safety.

1) To do this, we are collecting tens of thousands of petition signatures in less than 20 days to get this issue on the November ballot. You can read and sign our petition at www.saveaustinnow.com or you can wait to sign at the meet and greet!

2) Secondly, we are soliciting financial donations to fund this cause to collect petition signatures in a short timeframe and then educate voters through various marketing channels such as texts, calls, TV, billboards, and mail to get them to the polls in November.
